The tray can be used for the smaller child, 0 to 6 months and then the tray can be removed or not for a bigger child.
Chairs are sold without a tray for parents that would like the toddler to sit at the dining table thus please note that if you buy the chair with a tray
remove the tray if you would like to use it at the table and lift or adjust the "bum" section.
The tray will not fit on top of your dining room table!
